The school principal Dorota Basiak, welcomed everyone gathered and recalled the fate of the soldiers who fought for Poland. During the ceremony, the students sang the national anthem and took part in a joint prayer for everyone who fought for our Homeland. One of the most important elements of the ceremony was lighting candles and laying flowers at the monument to the soldiers of the Second Polish Army by the students, in accordance with the principle that it is the duty of the living to remember those who passed away while fighting and giving their lives for a free Poland. Additionally, as the Home Army soldiers are our school’s patrons, tradition obliges us to pay tribute to every person who shed blood fighting for their country.
