The 9th National LZS Games took place from 28 to 30 August in Słubice. Ten athletes from the Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy „Bolesłavia” competed in the event, winning one silver medal and six bronze medals.
After a fierce contest, Patryk Dudyński finished third in the 110 m hurdles (with a time of 14.39 s). This was Patryk’s second medal at an event of this rank. During the National Youth Olympics in Bydgoszcz, held in July this year, the athlete won the title of Polish champion.
The bronze medal was also won by Katarzyna Romaszko (she has already won the title of Polish champion). The athlete jumped 5.50 m in the long jump. Karolina Kędzia reached the podium twice. The athlete competed in the javelin throw and long jump. In the first event, she achieved 35.17 m and thus won silver. In the second event, she won the bronze medal (jumping 5.27 m).
Our decathlete Jacek Nabożny won two bronze medals at the Games. Together with athletes from „Osa Zgorzelec”, he competed in the Lower Silesian 4x100 m relay. The athlete won his second bronze in the high jump (he achieved 2 m in Słubice).
The sixth bronze medal was won by Emilia Kumoś, who competed in the 2,000 m steeplechase. Maciej Rajfur also reached the final, taking a good seventh place in the 110 m hurdles.
Our town was also represented in Słubice by: Wojciech Kowalski, Mateusz Pawluk, Adrian Skrzypach and Alicja Kaczmarska. In the points classification, the Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy „Bolesłavia” finished 21st.
