At the Wedding Palace in Bolesławiec, located in the Town Hall, in the room where toasts are raised after marriages are concluded, life-size portraits of Silesian Piast dynasty members are painted on the walls. They are placed on the main wall and have been here for about 20 years. They are Silesian Piast dynasty members (we do not know which line, however?) from the late Middle Ages, as indicated by their clothing.
Among them are: Comrade Górek the First (first secretary of the party’s municipal committee), Comrade Malinga the First (district head), and Comrade Grzegorzyca (town head, who fled the country and continues to live out his years as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany somewhere in the West...).
Does this really not offend anyone? What does the current Town Council say about it; the previous town council considered everything to be in order... One can forgive the author of the portraits, for whom these Comrades posed, that the last in the row of Piast dynasty members is also He, the author. Such things did happen; painters could allow themselves that. Or perhaps we want the rule of those Piast dynasty members not to be forgotten and are leaving the portraits undisturbed? I, however, and others are submitting a protest!
