PARENTS, TEACHERS, ADULTS...
The changes that have taken place in our country (alongside their undeniable advantages) contain a certain margin of phenomena that pose a serious danger to our children. The development of subcultures is being observed, affecting increasingly wider circles of young people.
Around us there are the Punk, Skinhead, Heavy Metal, Spray-painting, Satanist, Depeche Mode, Rocker, Killer, Anarchist, Hippie, Popper, Official Hooligan and many other subcultures. Young people belonging to these groups often identify with ideas that are harmful to their psychophysical development, while some minors, identifying with a particular subculture, commit crimes. Therefore, let us not be indifferent to whom our children meet outside the home.
Below we present brief descriptions of the individual subcultures:
SATANISTS
They wear black leather jackets bearing images of the devil or a goat’s head, as well as so-called jackboots. They sometimes have a tattoo in the form of an inverted cross or the symbol of three sixes. They greet one another with the phrase “Ave satana.” They listen to black metal music. Some of them commit offences involving desecrating the resting places of the dead (vandalising graves). They come into conflict with school. They abuse alcohol. They torment animals.
OFFICIAL HOOLIGANS
They form organised groups bringing together minors with a strong sense of solidarity. They are characterised by aggressive brutality and are responsible for beatings, robberies, thefts and burglaries. They abuse alcohol. Their clothing does not distinguish them from their surroundings.
HEAVY METAL FANS
They listen to heavy, sombre, apocalyptic music. They are distinguished by leather jackets over which they wear denim vests bearing the names of bands. They wear long hair, all kinds of pendants, nickel-plated chains and earrings. They meet at rock concerts and football matches. They are usually responsible for hooligan acts. They provoke fights. They use dangerous objects.
DEPECHE MODE FANS
They wear patterned, colourful scarves known as bandanas. They often cut their hair short at the sides. They sometimes instigate fights, particularly at concerts.
