The Bolesławiec festival is changing organizers for the third time. Initially, it was organized by the Bolesławiec Cultural Center, followed by Krystyna Juszkiewicz. Now the workshops and band competition will be organized by the State Music School.
The new organizer will focus on making intensive use of its teachers. The workshop program is expected to include ear training classes and the basics of jazz. “It is important for things to be better, but not necessarily more expensive,” says Dorota Pińczuk, director of the State Music School.
“Blues nad Bobrem” has been associated with Bolesławiec for 15 years. The final concerts have featured, among others, Tadeusz Nalepa, Dżem, Nocna Zmiana Bluesa, Gang Olsena and Martyna Jakubowicz. The music workshops, held for 13 years, are known throughout the country and enjoy a good reputation. Every year, the workshops are accompanied by the Blues Band Competition, a blues mass and club concerts.
