Walks along Sądowa Street will now be more enjoyable. This is all thanks to the renovated surface. A total of 310 m² of pavement and 270 m² of parking area were renovated. The investment cost over PLN 118,000. Roman Palczewski, head of the District Roads Authority, had no objections regarding the quality of the work. In 2009, the section from Daszyńskiego Street to Teatralna Street is to be renovated.
“The pavement and parking lot surfaces were replaced with granite paving stones. Those laid in the parking area are, of course, somewhat larger. The choice was dictated, among other things, by aesthetic considerations—the material was matched to the one that blends well with the surface of the Bolesławiec market square,” says Deputy Starost Stanisław Chwojnicki. “Moreover, Sądowa Street and the nearby parks are a favourite place for many walkers and cyclists. Now a trip along the route from the Ceramics Museum to the ruins of the defensive walls will certainly be much more enjoyable,” he adds.
