Environmental protection is very important at a time when there is truly no longer any nature untouched by pollution. That is why many environmental organizations are involved in this activity. It is particularly important to educate children and raise their awareness in this field, because they are the ones who will make substantive decisions about the future of Earth in the future. But even now, as students, they can do something in this direction. A student should attach greater importance to preventing environmental pollution than to protecting an environment that has already been polluted: they should not follow in the footsteps of those inhabitants of Earth who, consciously or unconsciously, destroy the planet by cutting down trees and polluting forests, lakes and rivers. A student should not excessively use packaging that is not suitable for recycling. They can acquaint their classmates with environmental issues, serve as a role model for them and, finally, establish school organizations dedicated to protecting nature.
A single student cannot do much, but a group of students like them can do far more: they can collect glass and waste paper and take them to collection points. New products will be made from these materials. Legal barriers are often an obstacle to environmental protection efforts by both individuals and organizations. The relevant authorities can be notified of violations of the law, but the penalties are disproportionately low compared with the damage caused. It is therefore more profitable to pollute nature than to protect it by, for example, building a sewage treatment plant or purchasing filters.
Nature cannot be fooled. Advancing civilization poses a serious threat to it. We, children and young people, should remember this so that we do not repeat the mistakes of adults.
