Before noon, three cars collided at the intersection of Kutuzowa and Kubika streets. The driver of a Ford Focus, entering the intersection from Komuny Paryskiej Street, failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a Volkswagen Passat. The Passat collided with the Focus, and the Ford, thrown off course, also clipped a Ford Mondeo stopped before the intersection. Fortunately, the vehicles were not travelling at high speed.
As a result of the collision, an elderly woman passenger in the Passat was taken to hospital. The Ford Focus was carrying people from Szczecin. They were returning home from a holiday in Croatia.
The intersection of Kutuzowa and Kubika streets is very dangerous. Drivers in Bolesławiec know that visibility there is limited. Police urge drivers to exercise extra caution in such places.
