The cameras will be installed by a Jelenia Góra-based company in places where crimes occurred most frequently. The devices will be mounted:

  • at 3 Rynek Street, on the south-eastern façade
  • on the office building facing Piłsudskiego Square
  • on the building at Łukasiewicza Street, facing the playground
  • at 32 Garncarska Street, facing Kubika Street
  • on the building at Jana Pawła II Street
  • at the intersection of Staroszkolna and Gałczyńskiego streets
  • on the building at 13 Starzyńskiego Street, on the south-eastern façade
  • at the intersection of Staszica, Cieszkowskiego and Wróblewskiego streets.

Images from the cameras are available at the monitoring center located on the premises of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters. For now, three cameras are operating in the city at the following points:

  • at Rynek Street, facing Sierpnia 80 Street
  • on the office building at Piłsudskiego Square, facing Bielska, Fabryczna, K. Miarki, and Żwirki i Wigury streets
  • on the I LO building, facing Tyrankiewiczów and Bielska streets and Waryński Park.

Approximately PLN 420,000 from the city budget was spent on the construction of the first and second stages of the surveillance system. The following companies contributed an additional PLN 52,000:

  • "Bolesławianka" Housing Cooperative

  • Municipal Utilities Company
  • Municipal Transport Company
  • Automotive Transport Company in Bolesławiec.

Next year, a further PLN 150,000 is planned to be allocated to expanding the system.
