Six MKS Bolesłavia athletes competed at athletics venues in Poland and abroad. Katarzyna Romaszko won the long jump competition held in Chiuro, Italy (150 km from Milan). The Bolesławiec athlete jumped 5.76 m.
On 6–7 June, Jacek Nabożny won the Polish championship title in the decathlon. At the competition in Zielona Góra, Jacek scored a total of 7,263 points. Results in the individual events:
100 m – 11.33
long jump – 6.82
shot put – 13.61
high jump – 203
400 m – 49.74
110 m hurdles – 15.12
discus throw – 34.84
pole vault – 4.60
javelin throw – 48.70
1500 m – 4:55.29.
Paula Kowalik, meanwhile, won the Polish championship title in the athletics quadrathlon. The competition was held in Toruń. Here are the results in the individual events:
long jump – 5.05
ball throw – 48 m
600 m – 1.45
60 m – 8.4.
Another Bolesłavia athlete, Agnieszka Dalmata, won the national final of the Samsung Athletic Cup. At the competition in the capital, the Bolesławiec athlete achieved the best result in the shot put – 13 m. “It was a great pleasure to compete in such a prestigious event. I had the opportunity to watch many outstanding figures from the world of sport, including Szymon Ziółkowski, Kamila Skolimowska and Tomasz Majewski,” the athlete said. “I am pleased with my performance and hope to use my form at the Polish Championships,” she added.
Patryk Dudyński and Wojciech Kowalski also put in strong performances. At the competition held in Obernai near Strasbourg, France, the Bolesławiec athletes competed in their specialist distances. In the 110 m hurdles, Patryk finished second with a time of 14:33 s. Wojtek, meanwhile, achieved the fourth-best result in the 800 m, with a time of 1:57:45.
