On Thursday evening, a man called the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec and informed the duty officer that he had seen drunk police officers on duty in one of the localities in Warta Bolesławiecka Commune. The caller did not want to identify himself.

The officers were tested for alcohol in their breath. The test showed that they were sober. It was established that the police had been called by a 20-year-old man from Warta Bolesławiecka Commune. That evening, the author of the false report was returning by car as a passenger from a party where he had been drinking alcohol. He explained that the police officers who had stopped the vehicle for a check were behaving strangely, so he decided to call the police headquarters.

The police filed a motion with the municipal court to punish the 20-year-old. He faces a PLN 200 fine.
