“The stadium is apparently treated like a shop,” says Krzysztof Samsonowicz. He claims that he and his 5-year-old son were refused entry to the facility three times, even though it was not yet 10 p.m. “When I come to the stadium with my child, I don’t know why he isn’t allowed onto the pitch,” Samsonowicz says irritably. “After all, the pitch is in a terrible condition. And if it rains for another two or three days, it will be completely impossible to set foot there,” he adds.

“The stadium is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.,” Dariusz Jośko, director of MOSiR, told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal. The facility is closed at night for safety reasons. “In the past, when the stadium was open at night, various strange parties were held here. In the morning, employees would arrive and not recognize the place,” the director noted. Since the gates have been closed at 10 p.m., nobody has vandalized anything here.

According to Jośko, MOSiR is committed to keeping the facility in the best possible condition. “This is an area that should be the city’s sporting showcase,” the director says. This is also one of the reasons why mainly young footballers train on the main pitch, while senior players from BKS Bobrzanie have only one training session a week. “If we want this stadium to be a showcase, something has to be sacrificed,” says Dariusz Jośko.

What is more, the MOSiR director pointed out that two years ago the stadium was open until 11 p.m., and during that additional hour it did not attract much interest at all. According to Jośko, Bolesławiec residents most often use the facility in the evening, from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. “That is the time when you can run in peace; nobody is chasing anyone away,” the director added.
