At a pedestrian crossing on Aleja Tysiąclecia, a passenger car hit two elderly people. The woman and man were returning from shopping at a nearby store.
The driver of the passenger Seat did not manage to brake before the crossing. The woman and man were injured and taken to the Bolesławiec hospital. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Residents of the nearby apartment blocks believe that this pedestrian crossing is particularly dangerous and requires special signage. Many people use it on their way to go shopping. The crossing is also used by students attending the school.
