To Warsaw, instead of the “Wrocławianin,” we will travel on a new express train, the “Łużyce,” running from Zgorzelec to Warszawa Wschodnia via Łódź. The train to the capital will depart at a more convenient time than before—before 9 a.m. The “Łużyce” return service from Warsaw to Bolesławiec is scheduled after 7 p.m.
To Przemyśl via Opole, Katowice, Kraków and Rzeszów, we will travel on the “Ślązak” express train, departing from Bolesławiec after 7 a.m. The train from Przemyśl will arrive in Bolesławiec late in the evening, before 10 p.m. When returning on the “Ślązak” from Przemyśl or Kraków, passengers should pay attention to which carriage they board, because in Wrocław the train will be divided into two sections: one to Zgorzelec and one to Zielona Góra.
After many years, PKP will resume passenger service on the Zebrzydowa–Lwówek Śl. line starting in December. The new timetable includes four pairs of services running between Bolesławiec and Jelenia Góra via Zebrzydowa, Nowogrodziec and Lwówek Śl. We will travel to Jelenia Góra by railbus purchased by the Marshal’s Office. At Bolesławiec station, trains to and from Jelenia Góra will be coordinated with trains to and from Wrocław and Zgorzelec.
The number of connections with German Goerlitz will not change: there will still be two stopping trains and two semi-fast trains. Meanwhile, the number of trains to Zgorzelec will increase from five to seven: three stopping trains, two semi-fast trains and two express trains.
Eleven trains a day will run to Legnica and Wrocław, with hourly departures in the morning, making commuting to work and school much easier. The first train to Wrocław will depart at 5:15 a.m., followed by the next one an hour later. Departure times for trains heading toward Wrocław will generally remain unchanged, with the only difference being that two of them will begin and end their routes in Bolesławiec.
Eleven trains a day will also run from Wrocław to Bolesławiec. The first train from Wrocław (5:16) is scheduled to arrive at 7 a.m., while the last evening train from Wrocław (20:52) will reach Bolesławiec at around 11 p.m.
From December, there will be no “Kwisa” train, which currently runs to Lubań on Fridays and to Wrocław on Sundays. The number of connections from Węgliniec to Żary and Zielona Góra will increase, however. Convenient transfers in Węgliniec will make it easier to travel by rail, for example, to study in Zielona Góra.
Details of the new train timetable for Bolesławiec station will be announced in November.
