A dangerous incident occurred on September 8, 2026, at a railway crossing in the village of Dobra in Bolesławiec County. A recording showing the children’s dangerous behavior was published online by the Stop Cham channel.
The video shows three children riding electric scooters. When they reach the railway crossing, the warning signals are operating—the red lights are visible and the barriers are lowered.
This is an unequivocal prohibition on entering the crossing.
The children do not stop in front of the closed barriers, however. They bypass the barriers and cross to the other side of the tracks.
What happens moments later is most alarming. After the children cross the tracks, a Koleje Dolnośląskie passenger train enters the crossing at high speed.
The recording is another example of how dangerous it can be to disregard signals at railway crossings. A red light and lowered barriers leave no room for interpretation—you must stop and wait until the crossing is reopened.
Recently, there has not been a week in our pages without another report of dangerous stunts by scooter users. Moreover, recordings regularly appear online showing people crossing intersections on red lights, riding in prohibited areas, or ignoring basic safety rules. This time, the situation was particularly dangerous because it occurred at an active railway crossing.
The recording from Dobra is therefore above all a warning. Closed barriers and a red light at a railway crossing are signals that must not be ignored—regardless of whether one is crossing the tracks by car, bicycle, or scooter.
