Late in the afternoon, two passenger cars collided at the intersection of Leśna and Willowa streets. Three people, including two children, were injured and taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec.
The driver of a Daewoo Nubira was entering the intersection from Willowa Street and failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a Volvo T850. The Daewoo hit the side of the Volvo, completely crushing the front of the Nubira.
The Volvo driver stopped his vehicle beyond a nearby bus stop, by the property fence. Two fire service units, two ambulances and two police cars took part in the rescue operation.
