20 children from the community and prevention center operating at Primary School No. 4 received packages containing essential school supplies: notebooks, pens, crayons, markers, pencil cases and drawing pads. In addition, the young members of the FMS spent time with the children playing together, telling jokes, singing songs and competing in various contests in which the children could win interesting prizes. Moreover, to sweeten the start of the school year, the children received gifts in the form of chocolate bars and candy bars.
"School supplies is another FMS initiative, but the first organized by the new board. That is why I am doubly happy: first, that we brought joy to the children who received the gifts, and second, that we were able to prove ourselves in such a labor-intensive undertaking," says Paweł Zieliński, secretary of FMS in Bolesławiec.
After the initiative ended, the young Social Democrats left the center sadly, as the fun had been excellent and there had been plenty of joy. This was confirmed by the smiles on the children’s faces and their affectionate farewell.
"We would like to thank the children for their warm welcome and the wonderful time we spent together. It is truly a wonderful feeling to be able to do something nice for other people, especially for such young children. We would like to wish these children that these school supplies help them achieve the best possible results at school and fulfill all their dreams!" adds Michał Banaś, chairman of FMS in Bolesławiec.
The following took part in the initiative: Michał Banaś, Paweł Zieliński, Damian Dziedziul, Krzysztof Laskowski, Magdalena Herdzik and Izabela Gruchawka.
