This year, Bolesławiec will have more money for education. The Ministry of Finance has increased the educational component of the general subsidy for our city by nearly PLN 170,000. The money will support ongoing renovations at educational institutions. Following the increase, the educational component of the subsidy amounts to PLN 14,768,035.
It is worth noting that, since the beginning of the summer holidays, the Social Affairs Department of the Bolesławiec City Hall has planned a number of renovation works at educational institutions. The work began with renovating the main entrance to the cloakroom at Primary School No. 2, painting classrooms and windows, and adapting a room for the newly established reception class. Painting classrooms was also planned at Primary School No. 4.
During the summer holidays, a kitchen renovation was planned at Kindergarten No. 2, while at Kindergarten No. 4 the plans included painting classrooms, restrooms, the corridor and the lobby, along with replacing the electrical installation; renovating floors; replacing door joinery; and replacing the main electrical panel. Renovation of student cloakrooms was planned at Municipal Lower Secondary School No. 1. Most of the work has already been completed. In September, documentation is to be prepared for the modernization of the Kindergarten No. 3 building (branch) and the Kindergarten No. 6 building.
