On Friday, 3 August, Różyniec hosted a summary of the latest stop on the summer “Education on Wheels” program. The initiator and driving force behind the project, which aims to promote interesting and useful ways of spending the summer holidays close to home, is Ewa Lijewska, director of Bolesławiec’s Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury. The event is funded as part of the government program for equalizing educational opportunities.
Over four days of intensive activities, several dozen children from our municipality took part in a variety of artistic workshops. Under the supervision of experienced instructors from Bolesławiec’s Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury, the young artists explored the secrets of model-making and participated in ceramics, painting, theatre, and dance-and-vocal workshops.
The workshop成果 presented to the public on Friday afternoon in the square beside the school in Różyniec included an exhibition of paintings and ceramics, a display of kite and airplane models made during the model-making classes, a concert of songs performed by teenage vocalists—sometimes in very mature arrangements—and a theatrical performance presented by a group of performers. During the event, every participant could enjoy refreshments prepared by the Gminny Ośrodek Kultury i Sportu in Gromadka, which co-organized the event.
At the end of the post-workshop presentations, all participants received commemorative certificates. A major attraction was the group performance of Gromadka’s anthem, prepared during the vocal classes and given a cheerful new arrangement. The next summer stop of the county-wide “Education on Wheels” program is the municipality of Nowogrodziec.
