Mariposa has been involved in dance since the age of seven. She first practised ballet and then ballroom dancing. In the latter, she even became German champion. Her true passion, however, is flamenco. She studied it in Berlin, as well as in Madrid and Seville. When she dances, she simply dazzles the audience. In her everyday work, she passes on her knowledge of the art of dance to students in Berlin. In July, she will come to Poland for the first time.
The classes will take place from 20 to 22 July. Three groups are planned: beginners, intermediate and advanced. The beginners’ workshop (3 hours) costs PLN 120. For the other two groups (6 hours), the cost is PLN 240. Those interested in taking part in the workshop are asked to pay the course fee by bank transfer to the BOK account by 10 July (with “warsztaty flamenco” in the transfer description). On Saturday, 21 July, at 9:00 p.m., residents of Bolesławiec will have the opportunity to see the Berlin instructor perform at the Pegaz club.
We also have good news for all flamenco enthusiasts. Recruitment for the beginners’ group will continue throughout the summer holidays. The first class will take place on 6 September at 5:00 p.m. (the monthly fee is PLN 80 for adults and PLN 60 for young people under 18). The autumn Flamenco workshop at Bolesławiec Cultural Centre will be led by Elżbieta Eisenblätter. Detailed information is available by calling 075 644 21 45 or 510 661 602.
