Last weekend, the 12th International Table Tennis Tournament for People with Disabilities was held in Janské Lázně, Czech Republic. Sixteen teams representing the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and Poland took part in the tournament. The Bolesławiec team consisted of Zbigniew Kurasz, Waldemar Krzemiński, Artur Krasucki and Wiesław Pawłowski.

In the group stage, the Bolesławiec players defeated two teams from the Czech Republic (4–3 and 4–0) and lost to the Austrian team (3–4). In the quarter-final, our table tennis players defeated Slovakia’s SK Ruzomberok (4–2), and in the semi-final they gave the “Start Kalisz” team no chance (4–1). In the final, TOP Son faced Austria’s VSV Attnang-Vockabruck, the team they had lost to in the group stage. After a fiercely contested match, the Bolesławiec players once again lost to the Austrians, 3–4. TOP Son Bolesławiec took second place.
