The three-hour marathon was held in the sports hall at I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec. All the women completed it, demonstrating great strength of spirit: Małgorzata Tajak, Katarzyna Dudek, Paulina Bednarowicz, Wioletta Koczoń, Marzena Grabas, Urszula Lubczyńska, Sabina Mroczek, Barbara Szewc, Ewa Szewc and Anna Boczarska.
The event, organized by MOSiR, began at 1:00 p.m. The marathon was led by spinning instructors Urszula Majchrzak and Daniel Milewicz.
Spinning is the most popular form of stationary-bike training. During 40-minute indoor cycling sessions, participants burn approximately 500 calories. They increase their endurance and improve their fitness.
The Spinning program was created in 1987 by coach and athlete Jonathan Goldberg, who used the pseudonym Johnny G and was called “one of the world’s most prominent fitness advocates.” Today, instructors in 80 countries around the world teach Goldberg’s original program.
