The perpetrators, young men aged 17 to 18, committed an extremely brazen theft—they stole two waffles. To do so, they forced open the waffle shop’s window. Their loot was worth PLN 5. Police officers arrested the teenagers after midnight near Bolesławiec market square. One waffle with whipped cream contains 240 kilocalories. A waffle with whipped cream and fruit contains 550 kilocalories. Specialists advise against eating high-calorie meals at night.
Despite appearances, however, the case is serious because it concerns a burglary, and the cost of installing a new window alone could be considerable.
