The main aim of the project is to create the Cross-Border School Television TST “We’ve Got It!”. The project participants are two groups of 20: young people from Poland, who are students of Gimnazjum Samorządowe nr 2 im. Polaków Zesłanych na Sybir in Bolesławiec, and young people from Ukraine, who are students of Łuckie Gimnazjum nr 4 im. Modesta Lewickiego. During their stay in Poland, the young people learn about the language and culture of the neighbouring country, as well as the local history of their hometown.

One of the activities during the programme-packed visit of young people from Ukraine to Bolesławiec was a workshop conducted by journalists from istotne.pl. The young people were divided into five groups (editorial teams) and competed with one another while learning to write meaningful news headlines and leads, that is, introductory sentences for an article or an account of an event. The students practised choosing topics in line with the profile of the medium they were creating during the workshops and learned the basics of conducting a good interview. Krzysztof Gwizdała taught the young people how to take good journalistic photographs at various events: meetings, concerts, car shows and local government sessions. He taught them how to create a good shot and portrait, and what an anecdote is in photography.

The project coordinators are: Agnieszka Gerwatowska, Martyna Daczkowska, Alina Pieniszczuk, Svitlana Bondaruk.

The project applicant is Bolesławieckie Stowarzyszenie Kawaleryjskie im 6 pułku Ułanów Kaniowskich. The project is carried out by Gimnazjum Samorządowe nr 2 im. Polaków Zesłanych na Sybir and co-financed by the National Centre for Culture.
