The idea behind the “Junior Sport” project is to organise and conduct regular, free extracurricular and out-of-school activities for children and young people in grades 4–6 of primary schools. The activities are held in a variety of modern and attractive formats, stimulating participants’ physical activity.

Bolesławiec City is also implementing the “I Can Swim” project, which has been running since spring and is intended for second-grade primary school pupils. Since September, the “Little Champion” programme has also been introduced in Bolesławiec primary schools, where first-grade children are carrying out the programme’s objectives. As part of the “Little Champion” programme, schools have been provided with additional sports equipment worth approximately PLN 9,000 in total. The children will also have the opportunity to meet well-known athletes as part of the so-called “Lesson with a Champion”.

The operator of the “Junior Sport” and “I Can Swim” programmes is the Lower Silesian Sports Federation, while the operator of the “Little Champion” programme is the School Sports Association. The projects are financed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and Bolesławiec City Municipality.
