The incident occurred on Monday, October 10, at approximately 7:00 a.m., at the intersection of Staszica and Cieszkowskiego streets in Bolesławiec. The truck driver, traveling along Cieszkowskiego Street, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions and first hit a moped, then a Volkswagen Polo. The latter vehicle then hit a Peugeot. Two people traveling in the Volkswagen were injured in the collision and taken to hospital. Whether the incident will be classified as an accident or a collision depends on how serious their injuries are. Fortunately, the moped rider was unharmed.

The incident was classified as an accident. It turned out that the VW passenger had suffered serious injuries. The truck was driven by a 66-year-old man from Wielkopolska. Police are establishing the causes of the accident at the Staszica–Cieszkowskiego intersection.
