Officers from the Economic Crime Unit of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters detained a 40-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, residents of Bolesławiec County, suspected of fraud. The officers foiled an attempt to obtain a loan to the detriment of one of Bolesławiec’s bank branches. The suspects were caught red-handed while attempting to take out a loan of PLN 20,000. To do so, they used forged documents concerning their employment and earnings.
Police are currently checking whether the suspects used other forged documents to attempt to obtain loans from other banks. The detainees will now face justice for their actions. Both face up to five years in prison.
