A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday (28 September) on the road between Przejęsław and Świętoszów. Two passenger cars collided there. As a result of the collision, a young woman died at the scene. The two other people were injured.

The seriously injured man was airlifted by the Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopter. The second person was taken to hospital by ambulance. The fire service, police, a prosecutor and the Military Police were also present at the scene (the injured man works in the military).

The causes of the tragedy are being established.

As reported on the website of the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service:

The Bolesławiec fire service was notified of the road accident at around 7:20 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found that two passenger cars had collided. Three people were trapped inside the overturned vehicles. The rescue crews used hydraulic tools to gain access to the people in the damaged cars. During the operation, an emergency physician pronounced one person dead.

The injured people were evacuated from the vehicles, given first aid and handed over to emergency medical teams. The scene was secured, the batteries in the damaged cars were disconnected and the crash debris was removed from the road. Road traffic in the area of the incident was halted. One of the injured people was taken to hospital by a Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopter from Zielona Góra, which landed on the grounds of the sawmill in Przejęsław.
