What is happening with the site left after Dworzec Wschodni? The City has practically taken it over, but is doing nothing with it. There was supposed to be a hall—there isn’t one; there was supposed to be an OBI store—there isn’t one. And the site remains undeveloped.

As it turned out, the Municipal Commune has already organized two tenders. “Unfortunately, neither produced a result. No buyer was found,” Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall, told us. Another tender will probably be held next year.

Let us recall. Four years ago, we reported that President Piotr Roman mentioned at a session that “there is interest in part of Dworzec Wschodni”. “Residents of Bolesławiec say that a large DIY store, such as OBI or Castorama, is needed here,” the official noted at the time.

We will return to the matter.
