Zgorzelec district police officers and detectives established, as a result of their actions, that a 22-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County had stolen a bicycle on September 12 from outside one of the supermarkets in Zgorzelec. The officers detained the man and recovered the bicycle, worth PLN 1,000.
During questioning, the 22-year-old stated that while walking past the supermarket, he noticed an unlocked bicycle, so he decided to take advantage of the opportunity and took it. The Zgorzelec County resident suspected of theft could now face up to five years in prison.
