Police officers from the Prevention Department of the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters arrested, after a short pursuit, a 21-year-old man suspected of breaking into and stealing from a car. The incident occurred on September 13, several minutes after midnight. While patrolling one of the streets in the Zabobrze housing estate, the officers heard a car alarm and shortly afterward saw a man who, upon noticing them, fled. The officers pursued him and arrested him several streets away. It turned out that the 21-year-old had broken into a car parked in one of the lots but had not managed to steal anything.
The officers determined that the 21-year-old had probably committed several other offenses as well. The man suspected of breaking into a car parked in one of the Zabobrze housing estate parking lots was taken into police custody. He could face up to 10 years in prison.
