From 26 to 28 August, increased traffic-police patrols could be seen on the roads in our county. Fortunately, there were no accidents during this time; there were only 5 collisions. Officers issued 191 fines (mainly for exceeding the speed limit), arrested two drunk drivers, and confiscated 18 registration certificates (due to the poor technical condition of the vehicles). What is more, five drivers who exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by at least 50 km/h lost their driving licences.
