The incident occurred in Lubin during the night of August 22–23, at around 2:00 a.m. A man called the police duty officer and reported a staggering woman who was pushing a child’s stroller. According to the caller, at one point the woman lost her balance and fell, and the child fell onto the pavement. The police officer sent a patrol from the Prevention Department and an ambulance to the scene.
The officers cared for the child until the ambulance arrived. Fortunately, the not-quite-three-year-old boy did not suffer any serious injuries apart from a small bump on his head. The child’s mother was taken to the police station; a test showed that she had more than two per mille of alcohol in her system. The little boy was placed in the care of his family. The 41-year-old woman from Lubin could face up to five years in prison.
