The incident occurred on August 15 at around 4:00 a.m. A resident of Lubin’s Polne housing estate heard noises coming from a local restaurant. He called the duty officer at the Lubin police station, who immediately sent a patrol from the prevention department to the scene.
The result? The burglar did not have time to steal anything. When he realized that there were police officers inside the premises, he began to flee. A moment later, he hid in some bushes. The hiding place proved ineffective, and the man was detained. He is a 31-year-old resident of Lubin who, at the time of his detention, had nearly 2‰ of alcohol in his system. The man from Lubin was taken to a police detention facility. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
