Officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra arrested a 27-year-old resident of Wrocław suspected of damaging property. The incident occurred on August 16, at approximately 1:43 p.m., on one of the streets in Jelenia Góra. Using a concrete pavement slab, the man wrecked a Suzuki vehicle. The vandal smashed its windows, scratched the dashboard, dented the bodywork, and tore off the mirrors and license plates. His actions caused approximately PLN 20,000 in losses. The victim witnessed the entire incident as he was returning home. He notified the duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra of the crime.

Officers spotted two men running. One of them was barefoot, while the other—who, as it later turned out, was the vehicle’s owner—was running behind him. The police arrested the 27-year-old suspected of destroying the car. The man was probably under the influence of drugs. He was taken into police custody. The vandal could now face up to five years in prison.
