Officers from the Legnica traffic police noticed the driver of a Renault Mégane who hurriedly changed direction upon seeing a police car. The officers followed the vehicle, stopped it and carried out an inspection. It turned out that the 35-year-old driver from Wałbrzych was driving under the influence of drugs, and in June this year an application was submitted to revoke his driving licence.

What is more, after searching the vehicle, the officers found nearly 200 portions of methamphetamine in the glove compartment. There was also a passenger in the car who tried to conceal his identity. The officers established the man’s true details. It emerged that the 23-year-old from Legnica was wanted and had prison sentences to serve.

Both men were detained. One will be taken to prison, while the other faces up to two years’ imprisonment.
