The Cyprian Kamil Norwid Municipal Public Library in Bolesławiec conducts cultural activities that go far beyond making books available. As a cultural institution, it provides the people of Bolesławiec with a wide range of activities aimed at all age groups. For seniors, it offers computer courses; for children, young people and adults, author meetings and art exhibitions.
The redevelopment of the existing “Mieszko” retail and service building into a library headquarters will make it possible to create a library on a much broader scale as a so-called “third place,” symbolizing public space understood as a place for social meetings, communication, spending free time, learning, relaxation and cultural activities.
