At the beginning of June this year, an unknown perpetrator used a grinder under cover of night to steal signs that stood along the Radoszyce–Chełm road (Lubin County, Rudna Municipality). The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 3,000.
Officers from the Police Station in Rudna worked on the case and identified the perpetrator. He was detained and charged with stealing 5 road signs.
The man sold the signs at a scrap metal collection point. As he explained to the officers, he stole them because he wanted to make some money. The 19-year-old resident of Rudna Municipality now faces up to 5 years in prison.
