Officers from the Criminal Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters identified and arrested the perpetrator of the theft of two air conditioners as a result of operational activities. The crime took place at the turn of June and July. The 32-year-old resident of Bolesławiec stole the devices mounted on the wall of a private property.
The suspect accused of stealing the air conditioners explained to the officers that the larger device was so heavy that, while he was dismantling it, it fell to the ground and was seriously damaged. Therefore, the 32-year-old resident of Bolesławiec unscrewed its parts and sold them at a non-ferrous metal collection point. He now faces up to five years in prison.
