On July 11, at around 11:30 p.m., police officers noticed a BMW on Zjednoczenia Narodowego Street in Jelenia Góra. The driver's driving pattern indicated that he might have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The officers stopped the vehicle for a traffic check. The driver turned out to be a 39-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra. The man was behaving strangely and was very nervous. The officers noticed that he was tightly clutching something in his hand. As it turned out, it was a bag of amphetamine. Moreover, a test confirmed that the man had been driving under the influence of this drug.
The man, who had been driving under the influence of marijuana, was taken into police custody. He could face up to three years in prison.
