During this year’s International Street Theatre Festival, there will be no shortage of art, energy and enthusiasm, which the artists invited to Jelenia Góra, our ever-reigning Queen of Theatre – Alina Obidniak, the young production team from the “Sta-art” youth theatre group, and the slightly older crew of the Jeleniogórskie Centrum Kultury & Friends will be eager to share with you.
“Therefore, Dear Viewers, familiarise yourselves with the programme, bring an umbrella (then it definitely won’t rain) and come to us at Ratuszowy Square every day at 3:00 p.m. during the festival. We will do our utmost to make this a truly exceptional summer weekend,” say the organisers.
This year’s festival is governed by three principles:
- a star every day. On each of the festival’s three days, the day will conclude with a spectacular production, rich in set design and staging, featuring a large cast. In this context, particular attention should be paid to the monumental production by Germany’s Titanic Theatre, which opens the festival
- something pleasant for everyone. The evening performances by the stars will certainly provide viewers with many aesthetic experiences and reasons to reflect on the condition of the modern world. However, the programme also includes less sophisticated entertainment and children’s programmes, which will open each festival day
- we do not fall asleep between performances. We invite you to the “Street Festival Centre”. Every day from 3:00 p.m., it will host activities and workshops for children, while during breaks between performances, animated comedy films for children and adults will be shown on a 12-metre screen.
