The collision occurred in a place where such incidents usually happen—at the intersection of Wróblewski Street and Dolne Młyny Street. Just after 4:30 p.m., three vehicles—two cars and a truck—collided. The driver of the Mercedes truck, a 28-year-old resident of Lwówek County, failed to maintain a safe distance between the vehicles and crashed into the back of a Volkswagen driven by a 41-year-old man from Bolesławiec Municipality. The Volkswagen then hit a Renault driven by a 33-year-old Wrocław resident.
One car was carrying a man and two children, while another had a man and a child. The only person injured in the collision at the ill-fated Wróblewski Street–Dolne Młyny Street intersection was the Volkswagen driver, who was taken to hospital with a head injury. Fortunately, it turned out that he had not suffered anything more serious.
The driver responsible for the collision at the intersection of Wróblewski Street and Dolne Młyny Street—a 28-year-old from Lwówek County—was fined PLN 500.
