According to preliminary police findings, a 78-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality, driving a Polonez, failed to yield the right of way to a VW Golf driven by a 20-year-old man from Bolesławiec. A collision occurred, as a result of which two people were injured.
Those taken to hospital were the Polonez driver and a Golf passenger—a 17-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. Police are determining the causes of the accident.
As we read on the website of the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service:
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found that two passenger cars had collided. The emergency medical team provided assistance to two injured people. The damaged vehicles completely blocked traffic on the road. During the operation, firefighters disconnected the batteries in the vehicles and turned off the valves of the gas tanks. Debris from the accident was removed from the roadway.
