Officers combating property crime received information that two employees were planning to rob their employer. The police determined that, through one of the online classified-advertisement portals, the men were offering to sell a deep-well water pump at an attractive price. It turned out that the equipment was located at the premises of one of the companies. The officers began observing the employees’ behavior.

After several days, the police noticed the men in question taking a water pump out of the workplace grounds. A moment later, the whole matter became clear. It emerged that the men had found a buyer and decided to sell the pump. They enjoyed their loot for a very short time.

The police are now checking, among other things, whether the detainees have committed similar offenses in the past. The 38- and 42-year-olds face up to five years in prison.
