The area designated for the reservoir had previously been cleared, and the layer of topsoil was also removed. The works included, among other things, a stormwater drainage system, a prefabricated stormwater drainage outlet, wells made of concrete rings with settling tanks, and reinforcement of the slopes and bottom of the retention and infiltration reservoir. The reinforcement was made of prefabricated slabs. The completed reservoir has a capacity of 390 m3. The reservoir area was fenced. As part of the project, a road and a maneuvering area made of crushed stone were constructed.
The reservoir was built to collect excess rainwater from the area of Zabobrze, Kamienna and Bazaltowa Streets. The works were carried out by Złompol from Częstochowa. The project cost PLN 84,000. The funds came from the city budget.
