The statistics on accidents involving cyclists are alarming. According to police data, more than 900 incidents involving cyclists have occurred on roads in Lower Silesia over the past nine months; in 155 cases, the cyclists were responsible for the collisions. This year, 24 cyclists have died and 218 have been injured in 281 accidents.

As police officers say, cyclists are often to blame because they treat their vehicle as posing no danger on the road. However, when riding a bicycle, traffic regulations must be observed.

The police remind cyclists that a bicycle card is required to use the roads.
