Operational police officers from Zgorzelec were conducting an operation against drug-related crime, as a result of which they established where significant quantities of narcotic substances might be located.
The officers entered a previously identified apartment and found a crystalline white substance hidden in various places. As determined by police specialists, it was methamphetamine. In total, more than 7,000 doses of the ready-to-sell drug were seized, preventing it from reaching the market.
Zgorzelec police officers are now clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail. Among other things, they are checking whether the detained woman has committed any other drug-related offences. By court decision, the suspect was remanded in custody.
If it turns out that the woman dealt in methamphetamine, she could face up to 12 years in prison.
