The first team of Gromadka gave their rivals no chance, deservedly winning another football tournament held on Saturday in the sports hall at the School Complex in Gromadka. Young footballers from Warta Bolesławiecka, the rural municipality of Chojnów and Gromadka took part in the competition.
In the first stage of the tournament, eight five-player teams representing the following localities played in two groups: Stary Łom, Warta Bolesławiecka, Modła, Krzyżowa, Osła, Wierzbowa and Gromadka (two teams). In the third-place match, the youth players from Osła defeated Warta Bolesławiecka, while Gromadka’s first team won the final, finishing ahead of Krzyżowa.
The tournament was organized jointly by the Gminny Klub Sportowy and the Gminny Ośrodek Kultury i Sportu in Gromadka. The sponsors of the prizes—which included a complete football kit for the winning team, a ball for each team taking part in the tournament and sweets for all the players—were Gromadka Municipal Head Dariusz Pawliszczy and the GKS Board.
