The former principal of the First General Secondary School founded a private middle school and successfully ran it for 17 years. This year, however, there will be no new admissions.

– We made the decision in March; in the next school year, we will not admit students to the first grade – says “ii” Stanisław Małkowski, principal of the middle school. – When you are 70 years old and have worked in education for 50 years, you have to stop at some point.

Asked whether strong competition on the local market had influenced the decision, the principal replied: – It had no influence whatsoever. We have the best results in the middle-school examination and had no problems with recruitment.

He added: – Moreover, the future of middle schools is unclear.
