At Forum Cinema, as every year, the School Film Library programme screened the film “Slumdog Millionaire”. It is a moving and bitter story about the fate of the poorest families in India. The film received an Oscar in 2005 for Best Documentary Feature. The film is also recommended by the website of the foundation of the Polish Bishops’ Conference as teaching material for catechists conducting lessons on the issue of prostitution.

In a letter to the mayor, Janusz Chudyba wrote that he had learned from three different sources about activities corrupting young people during classes at the cinema after the screening of “Slumdog Millionaire”. In a conversation with us, he clarified that patients had informed him of the incident. Probably three different ones. In the letter, the doctor, presenting himself as a husband, father, grandfather and association member, expressed concern that lower-secondary school students had been given “content from the gender arsenal of corruption”.

The director of BOK-MCC hurried to apologize, just in case, although she had not attended the meeting with the lower-secondary students. It turned out, however, that there was no one to apologize to. Chudyba did mention some letter from outraged meeting participants, but he also added that:

“the letter placed in the class register disappeared, and everyone suddenly clammed up, afraid to protest officially in defense of proper education, thereby exposing the children to corruption”.

The mayor’s officials took action to find the mysterious letter and the register from which the letter had disappeared. The search is ongoing. We wish the official detectives success. Apparently, the letter was written at Stanisław Małkowski’s private lower-secondary school, although he does not want to discuss it.

The matter may not exist after all, but the concern of some school directors remains. It is now unclear whether to send the children to the cinema or, just in case, not send them, because perhaps gender will catch up with them there and corrupt them. We know that gender never sleeps.

We reassure you. If gender has attacked any of you, or you are afraid of an attack by content from the “gender arsenal of corruption”, you can go to… a doctor. Fortunately, there is an outstanding specialist in this field nearby. He is supported by equally outstanding scientists and experts on the issue, such as Professor Oko and Professor Guz. We do not know whether such a visit will be reimbursed by the National Health Fund, but private consultation always remains an option, at the normal rates in Bolesławiec, as with doctors of other specialties.
